Intertextuality

The mask has many examples of intertextuality, in this space will be approach to show one of many of them.
One example is when the mask seems one girl in the event, and then he transforms his face like a wolf, and he starts to whistle her, his heart comes out biting rapidly. Also in the same scene when he seems the girl, he takes out his tongue and his eyes. It is a representation of intertextuality. It tries to show us that wants to be rationed with Red Hot Riding Hood.

One example of intertextuality in the Mask is the scene when Stanley Ipkiss transformed by the Mask enters on the bar “Coco Bongo” and after he dances with Tina Carlyle the boyfriend of Tina; Dorian Tyrell shoots him with a gun, he draws all the bullets, and when finally a bullet touches him he acts a drama, (in a very funny way) about their “ultimate messages” for the people who loves, and he simulates their death. Then he became acclaimed by a sudden public and some person gives him a statue of the “Oscar Academy Award” rewarding him for its actuation.
This is a parody about the reward ceremony of the academy awards in real life.
